The exhibition “On the Table in Lower Silesia” during the 30th Economic Forum in Karpacz

On September 7-9, 2021, the 30th Economic Forum was held in Karpacz. Among the highlights of the regional presentations accompanying the Forum, there was a special exhibition – ”On the Lower Silesian table. Ceramics from Bolesławiec, glass from Piechowice and porcelain from Wałbrzych”.

The exhibition met with great interest among the Forum participants, being one of the most frequently visited stands in the room dedicated to Lower Silesia. Visitors could learn not only about regional crafts, but also about cultural events organised in Bolesławiec, as well as local tourist attractions. The presence at the 30th Economic Forum resulted in establishing many new contacts, especially in the Polish and international tourism industry.

The exhibition was prepared by the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec in cooperation with the Municipality of Bolesławiec, the Municipality of Warta Bolesławiecka, the Association of Ceramic Municipalities of the Republic of Poland and the Crystal Glassworks “Julia” in Piechowice. The honorary patronage over the exhibition and the catalogue was extended by the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Province, Cezary Przybylski.

The stoneware products presented at the exhibition came from six factories operating in the Bolesławiec district. This group includes: Zakłady Ceramiczne “BOLESŁAWIEC”, “Ceramika Artystyczna” Artistic Handicraft Cooperative in Bolesławiec, Manufaktura in Bolesławiec, Ceramika Bolesławiecka Kalich, WR Ceramika and GALIA Utility Ceramics. The exhibition was complemented by the “Polish table” collection, which was created as part of the cooperation between “Manufaktura in Bolesławiec”, Porcelana “Krzysztof” in Wałbrzych and “Julia” Crystal Glassworks in Piechowice. The latter company has additionally prepared an exhibition of crystal products.

The exhibition was accompanied by a Polish-English catalogue, featuring – apart from the above-mentioned plants – also participants of the special “Made of the Bolesławiec clay” project.
